The foundation of the new vision for the WCTC is a conference call focused on simply sharing are ideas and stories. There will be no agenda, no facilitator, just a simple place where anyone can call to talk to friends and like minded people interested in Transformative community. You don’t even need to call in on time, weather you want to be on the call for 5 minutes just to say hi, or talk for an hour about anything people want to share that is up to you. All decisions on when the conference call with be scheduled for will take place online through polling with the WCTC Actions Blog.

WCTC Update

Greetings

Happy spring everybody.

This list has evolved slightly as the downtown Center in Santa Cruz has closed down and we will now be going to a more online community networking framework until we are able to open another center. The current idea for the main name of the WCTC is the World Collaborative for Transformative Community. So this list will be an outlet to inform you on everything related to Transformative Community on a global scale and in your local area. If your wondering what transformative community is, just think of anything that could evolve humanity to a brighter future. More info will be related here and online about this evolution.

The biggest news I have to share today is The Raw Food COOP, which is being established in Cities across the US starting in Santa Cruz and the SF Bay Area. This Food COOP is a community driven raw/health food distribution and education collective and will radiate new life and vitality into our local communities with educational events and organic health food distribution. You will be able to buy bulk food with the coop at a huge reduction from what you would pay at a grocery store.

The main focus right now in getting these Food COOPs started is finding awesome people who are ready to serve the community by living and working together in Food COOPs. Also if you are interested in just buying food at reduced prices, we are ready to take your order on a limited start up list of items. Please Read bellow and see attachments for more information on all the details, and contact Ben Goodwin at ben@onesunliving.com as soon as possible even if you are just considering colaborating.

Enjoy and Nameste,

New WCTC Vision

Since the WCTC closed its doors in Santa Cruz, there has been a void in how to move forward with building a community. Although we have the new Green Copy Program up and running and a start up project of creating a publication to keep our momentum, there is still a need for the community to come together and dialogue about new ideas even without a physical space to come to.

Until now, there hasn't been any visionary leps, but just last week the pieces started coming together, and just in time because the WCTC needs a cause to get people excited about donating again.

The Wellness Community Transformation Center would stay on as a model for future community centers. The focus of the WCTC would evolve towards the online Alliance.

And the new name of the most active component of the WCTC would become the...

World Collective for Transformative Communities Alliance

The fundamental value would be based on communication, by hosting a conference call to just bring the community together to Share stories and ideas. No agendas, no time frames, just sharing.

The Media Outlet of the WCTC will evolve its values of creating a new vision of Media based on communication and dialogue and not just a one way stream of information (top-down).

This is all just the beginning of these ideas, and there is more to come soon, and if you want you can look at the raw notes...

Jay
(831) 332-2486

WCTC Evolved Vision

Evolve the primary name to:
World Collective for Transformative Communities (Alliance)

Have all the other WCTC projects branch off of the Alliance.

Have the foundational value be Communication, and not “Media”. The Media Outlet would evolve with a new vision of media based on Communication and Dialogue, and not Pushing information at the public, but actually having a meaningful dialogue with the public. Stories etc…

The foundation of the WCTC organism is online and not in a physical location.

The foundational space for the connection of people to come together is on a conference call and online forum. The purpose of the call is simply to chat and share with each other.

There will be a start time, but no end time.

Anyone can get on at anytime they want, and leave at anytime they want to.

There is no agenda.

There are basic ground rules on self-facilitation to give everyone who wants a chance to speak to have a chance.

Transformative Communication guidelines can be used as a starting ground to educate people but we cannot expect people know how to obide strictly to Transformative Communication, but when people majority overstep they should be educated.

All conference call times will be decide online through the online decision making process.

By attending a Conference call, and by signing on to a online form, all participants are agreeing to be publicly documented and recorded.

Although there is no official facilitator, note taker, time keeper, or vibes watcher, everyone is encouraged to document information on the online forum, and entire conference calls may be recorded and posted publicly online.

Structure is buddy groups are formed outside of the foundation conference calls, and volunteer representatives from the buddy groups participate in agreed upon meetings agreed upon online. This group will have decision-making authority, and discussion privileges on behalf of the foundational sharing conference calls. These meetings will be fully facilitated and documented with agendas. This group will have a separate decision making blog, and the foundational sharing conference calls will still have the ability to make their own proposal and decide their own meeting times, but through representation can make offical decision through the collective.

Financial Update

The good news about the financial update is that our expenses have been
dramatically reduced because we no longer have to pay rent. On the other hand
our income source has dramatically been reduced because of smaller and less
donations now that we don't have a physical space and easier fundraising
abilities.
Although the budget has been reduced, there are still expenses
including government fees and steps that had to be taken to close down the
center. Additionally there are payments on a small amount of dept as well as
lease payments towards our copy machine. So donations are very welcome and
needed to keep the momentum going and the visions flowin.
Donation Website: http://membership.wc.tc
or mail checks to WCTC P.O Box 7909, Santa Cruz, Ca, 95061

Call for Submissions and support for a new Publication

Our main project with the
WCTC Media Outlet in the near future will be to
support the creation of a new grassroots publication. Although we don't
have a physical space to bring our community together anymore, the goal is to
create a physical representation of our community through a printed publication
that we pass out at the farmers market on a weekly or monthly biases and have
available online. We are asking for submissions of art, stories, etc... for
publishing, and we are looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping
design and distribute the publication when it is printed. Here is a short
description of the vision of this publication...

Do you value wholesome and honest exchanges between open, vibrant and
likeminded fellowfolks? Are you ready to contribute to a society whose very
existence upholds the values and expands the limits of the potential of its own
citizens? Are you finely ready after feeling an eternity of
holding back in
your own experience to grow your light and share it with the world around you to
shine the hope and magic of instantaneous, immeasurable conscious expansion?
Are you ready to use our collective power to express our deep calling within for
truth and potency of being?

Do you have a passionate—or even ambiguous—calling to a life that brings
everyone more meaning, more color and more joy? Well, if you’re ready to put
your energy towards community wellness and conscious evolution, we would love to
have your input as we search for a way to network and bring people together in a
local setting, but also as part of a vast, emerging global network of forward
thinking people. We wish to inspire and motivate the inhabitants of this
universe to take action to redirect the self destructive flow of our current
society and channel the incredible energy and synergy we encounter towards the
betterment of
humankind and the budding of our own potential.

We are currently working to find words for the deep wonder we feel and the
elaborate fantasies we’ve been flailing to materialize. We wish to keep this
process fluid and joyful, but have come to learn that pragmatism and tangible
progress are necessary to unite our fellowship with a clear purpose. In the near
future we envision a collaborative publication that would serve as a springboard
for networking, a reference for upcoming community events, and an offering of
art, philosophy, poetry, and other short writings. This publication, however it
manifests, is not the end goal so much as it is a stepping stone. The idea is
momentum, and such a malleable and unifying expression of our collective
consciousness in such a form that is so easily distributed gives rise to
infinite possibilities. We see it as an organism that we hope you all will help
us to nurture while it
is in the fragile womb state before its birth. We want
this to be the community’s gift unto itself and the more feedback, ideas and
contributions we can gather, the swifter we’ll be able to launch this exciting
endeavor! Please share your experience, original artwork, research, or creative
writing with us as soon as possible. We welcome all the help we can get!

Please email submissions to t(at)wc.tc or call Sky (831) 713-8225 or Jay at (831)
332-2486

WCTC Media Outlet Introduces the Green Copy Program with Tree-Free Paper

The WCTC media Outlet will also continue in collaboration with a community
print shop in Santa Cruz. Right before the center closed down the Media Outlet
got its brand new professional color copy
machine which is now stored at the
community print shop. This is a huge opportunity for the community to make
professional quality copies, prints, zines, books, and more at a non-profit
rate. In addition the WCTC Media Outlet was set up to be the Greenest print
shop possible with the ability to do copies on tree-free paper as well as 100%
post consumer recycled paper. So if you need to do a print job please contact
us to help us fundraise the money to keep the print shop going, and save money
for opening a new center in the future. To guarantee that we will go out of our
way to do your print job we require a minimum of about $100 of copies which is
about 300 color and 1500 black and white to make it worth our time. Do give us
a call even if you have less than that, as your schedule just might work out
with ours.

Alliance Update

We will continue to build the online community network of hubs and centers
across california and the World to unite local communities together globally to
see forth the evolution of humanity. This is simply a process of plugging in
local communities to the already growing infrastructure being created on the
internet and letting it all evolve on its own.

General Update from Jay

Its been a while since there has been a WCTC update, and the world has changed.

The center has closed down, and although we almost went forwrad with a new
location, we decided to close our doors, and we gave most of what was usable to
the new community info shop called Subrosa, which
is down the street next to the
Bike Church. We fully support Subrosa as the main community hub in Santa Cruz,
as it is the only place downtown that is remotly like what the center was. Give
Subrosa a call at (831) 426-5242.

Yet there is still a niche that needs to be filled, which has space for free
and by donation Yoga classes and healing activities. One day the WCTC will
support re-opening a center that can provide access to wellness and other
community activities, and when that day comes will be up to how we move forward
and energize this vision.

Although the physical space of the WCTC does not exist anymore, the WCTC itself
lives on as the World Community Transformation Center Alliance accross
California, and the WCTC media Outlet, and other projects and visions that we
can come together to envision.
